Nested between a lazy river with no name and the West Philippine Sea, the Tuk Tuk is a perfect place for families looking for solitude and relaxation. If sunrises over green mountains and spectacular ocean sunsets is your kind of "excitement", we are the place for you. If walking barefoot on a quiet beach sounds like your kind of adventure, once again, we got you.
Nurse Edythe’s Sea Turtle Preserve
The primary mission of the Tuk Tuk is to create sustainable, local employment opportunities and to improve food security for our remote fishing village.
Christmas at the Tuk Tuk
No matter what time of the year you decide to visit us, when your family enjoys the Tuk Tuk, you are helping our neighboring families get to enjoy the Tuk Tuk too.
Our annual Christmas dinner party has been entertaining approximately 600 of our neighbors since 2019. The party is followed up with a food delivery to approximately 265 households. Just prior to the party, medical, dental and vision check ups are available courtesy of our dear friends at the Rotary Club of Vigan in partnership with numerous "Secret Santas" from Northern California.

“When you drink the water, don’t forget who dug the well”. - ancient Chinese proverb
The Tuk Tuk Inn by the Sea is located on several hectares of the ancestral property of the late and great Nurse Edythe.
Like so many Filipino oversea workers, Edythe received her nurse training in the Philippines and then went to work in the United States of America. After achieving the American Dream, she never forgot where she came from. Although her life was cut short by brain cancer in 2019, her legacy of service above self continues.

Our Rooms
All rooms have a private bathroom, hot and cold water and AC. We currently do not offer WiFi and the rooms do not have television sets. We currently do not have a generator, and depending on weather, electricity occasionally can be an issue. We offer battery light and battery fans as back up.
The Turtle Room has two king-size beds and a sleeper sofa. There is even room for an additional queen size bed mattress on the floor. It’s very nice for a family. Maximum number of people allowed is 6. The room is approximately 63 sq meters (678 sq feet) which is almost double the size of a normal motel room. It overlooks our ocean garden, which provides gorgeous, but partially obstructed ocean views thanks to the greenery.
The Sugar Room is slightly smaller than the Turtle Room and is perfect for one adult couple as it has one king sized bed. We can place an additional queen size bed on the floor. It contains a tiny “museum” of fragile antique pottery making this room inappropriate for small children. Maximum number of people allowed is 4. Its view is primarily coconut trees.
Our third floor bedroom on top the original Tuk Tuk building is quite unique as it has the best views of the ocean, comes with the entire third floor and direct access to the fourth floor view deck. Good for two adults and up to three children. (Bathroom is private but detached from bedroom.)
Pricing
Our current rack rate is 12,000 PHP (approx $200 USD) a night per room and includes free breakfasts. The longer you stay, the more you save! Guests will receive HALF price on third and any subsequent nights.
Group Discount
Rent both the Turtle and Sugar Room at the same time (good for up to a total of 10 people and 10 complimentary breakfasts) and receive an immediate 4000 PHP (approx $70 USD) discount! Instead of 24,000 PHP, the two room rental per night is 20,000 PHP which is approximately $350 USD.
The Sugar and Turtle Room plus accompanying covered patio space n the middle is over 250 square meters (2700 sq feet) making it perfect for groups up to 10 people.
On top of the immediate 4000 PHP discount, guests third and subsequent nights will be offered rooms at HALF price, making this even a more spectacular deal.
Attention private drivers
We value industry relationships and repeat referrals. We therefore cheerfully provide private tour driver operators a free private room and meals while their clients stay with us.
Those whom come from Manila via PARTAS bus should exit at Vigan. This is an approximate 8 hour ride. The Tuk Tuk offers free Vigan bus pick up and/or drop off for our guests.
How to get here
While only fifteen minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage Site City of Vigan, (and even closer to an excellent hospital), the Tuk Tuk is a very unique, quiet and private beachfront paradise.
By Air
Currently the closest regional commercial airport is in Laoag (LAO) Both Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific offer one hour daily flights from Manila (MNL) for approximately $100 USD one way.
The Tuk Tuk is located 1.5 hours south of LAO by car.
LAO does not offer a robust taxi service, so we strongly recommend contacting us in advance for our private car pick up service. We charge $60 USD one way to pick up one to four guests. For larger parties, call us for quote.
Stay tuned as Vigan will be expanding their airport soon!
By Private Van
For those traveling in a group of five to 10 guests, a private van service is a great way to come. Contact us for a recommended provider and up to date quote.
